These twin houses are like invisible houses: depending on the weather and lighting they are sometimes not visible at all. And it seems as if there is something transparent or mirrored inside. But inside – the comfort and beauty. Shall we take a look?
The project called Mirror Houses is located amongst stunning nature near the town of Bolzano, in the Italian Alps. The architectural bureau Peter Pichler Architecture has created a truly incredible, modern and even innovative design. They have worked hard to meet the client’s expectations and now the luxury twin apartments are ready for rent.
A dream come true
The owner of this residence lives in a nearby 1960s farmhouse and has always dreamed of building cozy cabins to rent out on his property. And it’s not just a matter of profit, he wanted other people like him to be able to appreciate the beauty of this place while staying in modern apartments with all the conditions for a comfortable stay. By the way, the price for one night is 200 euros, but if you are going to stay here for more than three days, then the day you can pay already 150 euros.
Natural Beauty
Buildings have their own gardens and private parking, but the main trump card of these houses are, of course, mirror facades, which reflect just unspeakably beautiful natural scenery. And for the birds not to crash into the marvelous walls, the latter are equipped with special coating, which does not let the birds to deceive.
Moreover, only the rear facades of buildings are mirrored, and they are glazed in front and smoothly pass into the terrace. Anyway, the houses are very harmoniously blended in the environment and as if they have always been a part of this corner of magical nature.
A look inside
Inside you will see that the apartments are not very big, but they are roomy and comfortable. The houses do not differ in appearance, they are an exact reflection of each other, and the same can be said about the interiors. Each of them consists of a living room with kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.
It is impossible not to mention the fact that in the bedroom there is a window right on the ceiling, which allows you to admire the alluring starry sky on clear nights. By the way, there is also a small basement in the house designed to be a place for temporary storage of things.
Pushing the boundaries
Despite the fact that there is not much space inside, this is not felt, on the contrary, there is some lightness and spaciousness. This result is achieved through a competent solution to use minimalism and even in combination with white color.
And mirrored and other reflective surfaces only increase this effect. Arrangement of the interior with only the most necessary with almost no decor is absolutely the right choice of the authors of the project. After all, the main decoration here is the surrounding nature and its majestic beauty, so distract from such a miracle on the various elements of decoration is not necessary.
