Thamesmead invariably conjures up images of the dystopian future portrayed by Stanley Kubrick in A Clockwork Orange. Heron Court challenges this stereotype by making the most of its south-facing leafy, canal-side site. Eighteen affordable flats and maisonettes are arranged around a communal garden and courtyard with filigree balcony structures and timber cladding inspired by the surrounding mature trees.
