During this time, we have designed more than 5000 projects and remain committed to finding new and better ways to deliver our clients' goals.

As a medium-sized architectural Practice, we have a high proportion of Partners and Associates which enables us to provide a personal service on new-build, refurbishment and conservation schemes in a wide range of sectors. Whether designing education, care, commercial, community or housing projects, we are professional, creative and responsive.

Based in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, we work throughout Greater London, the South East, the South West, East Anglia and the Midlands.

The Partner/staff ratio is intentionally high with two Partners or a Partner and Associate always fully involved in every project from inception to completion.

The experienced design and technical staff work at BIM Level 2, complemented by full BIM technology. Our Quality System operates in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and our Environmental Management System is in accordance with ISO 14001:2004.

The Tooley & Foster Partnership is fully committed to providing the best possible professional services throughout all stages of the design and construction processes. In every case we offer a high degree of expertise and a competitive fee structure.

We have a number of strategic framework agreements with clients and are actively involved in Partnering on many projects.

Our services include:

Architectural commissions for new-build, refurbishment and conservation projects, generally between £250,000 and £30 million contract values.
An integrated Interior Design service for all architectural projects.
Party Wall advice and CDM 2015.
Certified Passivhaus Design.
Code for Sustainable Homes assessments.
Joint or independent Structural Engineering services.
Joint or independent Landscape Architecture services.

Awards

The Tooley & Foster Partnership has received numerous awards and recognitions, demonstrating our ability to design inspirational environments for both the public and private sectors. In 2014, we were particularly proud to win Project of the Year for our design of Saffron Hall at the RICS East of England Awards, as well as Design through Innovation. We were also a Regional Winner with Saffron Hall in the 2015 Civic Trust Awards. We won a Silver International CSR Excellence Award in 2015 - demonstrating the commitment of our Partners and staff to their personal Corporate Social Responsibility. We also won awards in 2013, 2014 and 2017. The Practice was a finalist in the 'Sustainable Social Housing Consultancy of the Year' category at the Sustainable Housing Awards in 2014 and 2012 and won Sustainable Larger Housing Project of the Year' for its design of New Cranes Court as well as the Development Award at the Sustain Awards 2013. Our Care, Dementia Care and Extra Care Home designs consistently feature at The Pinders Healthcare Design Awards. They have made it to the final 6 times in the past 7 years. We have won the Green Apple Awards each year since 2007. During the last 10 years, we have also won an RIBA/LSC Further Education Design Excellence Sustainability Award for our refurbishment of The National Skills Academy for Financial Services, a Daily Mail UK Property Award, a Concert Industry Award, an Excellence in Roofing Award, a number of local authority design awards and more.
