2015MullenLowe Group appointed Studio Octopi to design the CAT B fit-out of their office space in Shoreditch, London.
Hufton & Crow
Leading advertising agency MullenLowe London appointed Studio Octopi to design their new office space on City Road. The 46,000 sqft office design, spread over 5 floors, comprises all MullenLowe Group UK agencies including activation agency MullenLowe Open, digital agency MullenLowe Profero and advertising agency MullenLowe London.
Studio Octopi pitched against two others in an invited competition held in May 2015.
After consulting the staff, the practice highlighted the need for an overarching concept to integrate the agencies within the MullenLowe Group. Studio Octopi put forward the concept of the ‘City of MullenLowe’ with the motto:
non mihi, non tibi, sed nobis / Not for you, not for me, but for us.
The ground floor is the Group's shared space and adopts the role of 'Town Square'. Client facing meeting rooms are supported by reception, library, cafe and bleacher seating. On the first floor, Studio Octopi have reworked the typical agency layout locating creative teams within 3/4 height partitions central to the floorplan.
Studio Octopi's remit included the specification of all the workspace and break out furniture.
