Tucked amongst the quiet lanes of Hammersmith, our refurbishment has transformed this mews into a playfully considered office space for landscape architect Marcus Barnett and his team. With this, we created a sequence of spaces that both reflect the company’s personality and suit the team’s pragmatic needs, while retaining the building’s character.
Two existing buildings on a site in the district of Holon were completely reorganised and refurbished to house the new facilities of the company. The two building were over-cladded with aluminium panels with a pattern of different shades of grey. The internal layout strategy allowed for both cellular and open plan offices and at the same time it enhance the experience of guest and users of the building avoiding corridors.

A 1200 sqm commercial and community building, reflecting its position between Victorian gothic and urban warehouse buildings.
Toynbee Hall is an East London charity tackling poverty and social injustice. This new-build 1200 sqm office and community building, with significant improvements to neighbouring open space, will enhance the charity’s physical and community presence in Spitalfields on the edge of the City of London. Due to open in the summer of 2019.
Kings Gate forms a pair of buildings on Victoria Street in Westminster, with its neighbour The Zig Zag Building. The scheme replaces an existing slab-like office building on Victoria Street in central London with two new buildings that incorporate a mix of retail, office space and housing. We won this project in an invited competition in Spring 2010, and gained planning consent in November 2011. The main contractor was Lend Lease and Practical Completion was achieved in Autumn 2015.
This project consists of a group of six mixed-use buildings, with commercial lower floors and residential flats above, replicating the local context of flats above shops. The commercial elements open up to the street, with free-form living spaces wrapped in brass above.
The saw-tooth residential forms channel views down the street for privacy reasons, their varying forms expressing their differing identities while reflecting the varied roofscape of the context.

Thirty Broadwick replaces a large unattractive building taking up a block in the heart of Soho. Emrys’s task was to nestle a new 120,000 sq ft building into the mixed urban context without being overbearing. Emrys broke down the main facades into component parts, employing a palette of materials characteristic of the conservation area but applied in a contemporary manner.
