Full restoration of a Regency period pub, and the building of a new mixed use building adjacent, with a glazed link containing circulation for both buildings creating a clear divide between the old and new.

PiM.studio has then been appointed in 2016 to complete the delivery of the Project and Maurizio has retained his Project Architect role until completion.

Won in a competition staged by Wandsworth Council and The Balham Partnership, and supported by the Mayor of London, the scheme comprises four projects:
• Enhancing the railway bridge environment to increase footfall and unlock the potential of the adjacent areas
• Public realm improvements to Hildreth Street to make it a vibrant market and café strip
• Public realm improvements to Balham Community Space
• A creative solution to the ‘Ugly Wall’ - a prominent but unattractive gable wall
Collectively, the project helps link together Balham’s public spaces, promote Balham’s identity and encourage visitors...
The temporary refurbishment and improvement of a single-storey prefabricated building on Lower Marsh, London, to create a new mixed-use creative enterprise hub for Meanwhile Space CIC. The project includes a co-working space, an office for The Job Shop, and a retail unit.
A new ‘Eleventh Church of Christ, Scientist London’ with 60 seat auditorium, ‘Reading Room’/bookshop, Sunday school and supporting areas, as well as separate rental offices above; by converting and expanding a dilapidated former pub in the King’s Cross conservation area.
We were appointed Architect, Interior Designer, Project Manager and Contract Administrator.
The Science Gallery at King’s College is an extraordinary project that combines the innovative programme of the Science Gallery International with the research strengths and history of King’s College London.
