The extensive renovation of mid terraced house in Peckham together with new additions.

Illustration of proposed additions

Illustration of proposed additions

A dilapidated 1840's mid-terraced house is to be renovated to provide a new family home for a professional couple. The brief is to extend the life of the house using sustainable and robust materials with the main house being altered to provide 3 new bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with the upper ground floor being altered to provide a new kitchen and dining room with a terrace at the rear over a new lower ground extension that will contain a sitting room, snug and home office. The materials for the new rear additions will respond and refer to the context using a combination of traditional techniques and contemporary detailing.

Word from the architect

A commission to renovate and extend a neglected property to provide a new sustainable family home for our clients that will combine traditional materials and techniques with contemporary detailing.
