Renovation of a record company's existing office in south London
Rationalising the ground floor area of Ninja Tune’s existing offices, this project created a new public-facing reception area and meeting room, in addition to new office space for the record company’s growing staff. Textures and finishes have been selected to create a simple, clean space while maintaining the playfulness of the company’s brand and the energy of their existing work spaces.
The irregular geometry of the existing plan has informed the angled connection between the front and back of house areas, reinforced by a bespoke strip light which runs between the spaces. Front of house areas are lined with triangular ash cladding, capped with terrazzo. In the meeting room, the timber cladding rises to the ceiling, emphasising the generous height of the space, while elsewhere glazing allows views across the ground floor area.
