2016The Studio is a self-build, two bedroom mews property located in the heart of Stoke Newington.
The Studio is a self-build, two bedroom mews property located in the heart of Stoke Newington, London. The existing property was in need of a complete overhaul to reach its full potential as a spacious and energy efficient property.
Bradley Van Der Straeten Architects undertook the design and build of the project, which provided the company with an exciting opportunity to experiment, hands on, with retrofit techniques.
The finished design has a playful character. The occupants can change the spaces regularly by sliding walls in and out and visitors can make discoveries of hidden cupboards and doors, making the property fun and joyful.
The project was a winner at the 2015 Wood Awards.
