A contemporary extension to a Nash-designed Grade II listed mews house in Regent’s Park, making extensive use of glass to create a new living area with an artist studio below.

At ground floor level, the new extension opens out from a refurbished kitchen, creating a generous new area for entertaining and relaxing. The extension reads as a clear glass box against the party wall, with uninterrupted views through to the garden terrace and upwards through the glazed roof. A frosted glass floor adds to the sense of light and space, providing a strong contrast with the more traditional interiors elsewhere in the house.

Below, the artist studio is a large, light-filled space that enjoys generous amounts of diffused light through the glazed ceiling above. Tall ceilings and a light colour scheme add to the sense of space. This level also contains useful additional bathroom and utility space.
