2016Refurbishment and extension of a large Victorian house in Canonbury.
BWA has completed the refurbishment and extension of a large Victorian house in Canonbury. The rear extension includes a large rooflight, a bold double height glass box, and a more traditional brick addition, to provide a practical kitchen and dining room flooded with light from above. A picture window and two walls of sliding-folding doors maximize the amount of natural light in kitchen and dining room and offer views out to the garden and terrace. A new modern oak stair links the lower ground floor living space with the original house above, which has been refurbished and reconfigured to provide bedrooms and bathrooms, as ever with plenty of storage.
