Ethos

Since 2005 we have designed and completed projects that explore our long standing interests in the relationship between a project's setting, its formal composition and the materials of its construction.

We are committed to developing projects that are explicitly connected to their settings, using both contemporary and traditional materials to make projects which are generous and built to last. We see no point in a design which is out of date the minute it?s completed.

We believe in the possibility of creating new spatial experiences within existing contexts; employ materials with care and in consideration of their innate qualities, brick is brick, wood is wood and stone is stone, we believe in honesty and truthfulness and have a growing expertise experience in working with older properties respecting their original character whilst adding a new layer of history.

We are currently working across the country on projects including additions to listed properties and small developments.

The 2 rooms will be built in black stained timber with full height glazing and a sedum roof planted with local succulents.
