Whatever your budget we know you want cost confidence in your project. This is why construction design is so important. A contractor, whatever their size, needs as much on the page as you want them to price up. And as for the plumber and electrician, if their works have not been designed then you will only get an estimate.
This is why Cityzen provides more than architecture we provide coordinated construction design; architecture and building services engineering- everything that makes a beautiful space feel good and function efficiently. We set up to ensure that buildings work as good as they look.
We work with you to develop your vision for the property or site, get you through the compliance stages, and then work with you to develop a detailed construction package to remove the risk of provisional sums and estimates. Giving contractors enough information to quote firm, or even fixed prices.
Our focus is providing creative and technical design solutions to achieve your goals be they family, business or community.

Listed extension, conversion, refurbishment
Listed home refurbishment, extension, and conversion of an outbuilding and creation of glazed link.
The Grade II Listed property built as 2 mirrored flint cottages had undergone several revisions most significantly becoming a single dwelling in the mid-late 19th Century and the addition of a bay window. When the property became the Vicarage in 1925 a flat roofed extension was added to the original west cottage. The outbuilding lying along the road was also altered considerably over the years, from being a stable to a garage.

Temporary Housing (Homeless Hostel)
An interim response to Ealing Council's homeless pressures.
Developer QED Sustainable Urban Developments was appointed by Ealing Council to use sites earmarked for future development to erect temporary housing for 7 years for their local homeless residents.
First approached in February 2017 with a planning approval for the site, the brief for Cityzen was to produce compliant, coordinated construction designs for studio, 1-bed and 2-bed apartments from converted shipping containers.
Being a 7 year lease the property was not "temporary" under building regulations and so had to perform to all commercial regulations.
