The brief for this new build house in Cheshire was to create a bespoke, contemporary home to replace the existing dilapidated property that sits on the plot. Located in the Cheshire Green Belt, the site is situated in a rural context, surrounded by agricultural land and buildings. The key priority for the client was to maximise views of the site which is a large, green, semi-rural plot that is bound on both sides by mature trees and drops down to a meandering river.
Hope Farm
Hope Farm is set in the Cheshire Green Belt, on the outskirts of the town of Northwich. The brief to Artform Architects was to convert a disused agricultural shed into 4 new residential dwellings by retaining the structural steel frame and keeping the existing form of the original shed.
Crown Green
The client for this project appointed Artform Architects to design a side extension to their house in Lymm, Warrington to house a new snug, utility room, shower room and office. A connection was also required from the new snug into the existing living room so the two spaces could connect with each other. In addition a new front entrance/porch was to be added as a replacement for the dated and badly designed porch on the existing house.
Oak House
The brief was to replace a dated and badly designed conservatory and dining area with a new, contemporary extension to the rear of a large period property set in a large, well landscaped garden. The new extension was to form an open-plan kitchen/diner and connect through to an adjacent living room by removing the wall between and the chimney breast.
Bollin Drive, Altrincham
The brief for this project was to design a new single storey rear extension to the existing semi-detached house in Altrincham. This was to create an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space which better connected to the garden. In addition a new detached garden office with en-suite was to be included adjacent the new extension as a replacement to the existing garage.
